Hey Ladies,

So how are we doing and what's everyone up to?

My event designer sent back to me the draft proposal for the wedding decor I envision. No amounts just the descriptions of the arrangements I want, draping, etc. She asked me to confirm the arrangements and the colors. Oh Lawd! That took me one week to do. I didn't realize how much work that is. I gave her my choices tonight and told her she is free to tell me that my color schematics are whacked and suggest changes as necessary. I love the fact that she is letting my use my design skills but I really got a headache trying to figure it all out. I had to buy a box of crayons and color my designs on paper to see how the colors go together. LOL!

On another note, I start trying on wedding gowns this Friday. Woohoo!!!  I hope to have my gown by the end of the year. 

Save the Dates - Goal is to get them out in January.

Wedding Planner/DOC - Goal is to secure someone sometime in Jan/Feb.

Bridal Party - I guess I will settle this in January.  I really don't know who and how many I want in my party.  I am trying to avoid this drama for as long as possible.  the FH has no problem here so he is rearing to go.  (**I am jealous.** - LOL)

    You are moving right along! Have fun trying on dresses.

    1. Took e-pics last weekend. Photographer said the edits should be ready today!

    2. I found my dress but have been waiting around for sales or to find it preowned. The store I tried it on at is having anniversary sale and the dress is $300 off! Talked to my parents and they said they will cover it and I can go get it! So what am I waiting for? IDK the sale is over in a few weeks so I better get on it.

    3. Made top layer of DIY card box. FI helped. It was ok but it took us 2 hours to finish the tiny box. LOL

    4. Plan to start working on wedding website so we can get STD's out around January also. FI is excited to work on wedding website.

    5. TRYING to stay on our workout routine.

    You two ladies are moving right along.
    1. Got all my vendors down to 75% paid.
    2. Still waiting on E-pics (supposed to be ready 11-1).
    3. Designed save-the-date magnets
    4. Designed invites and have cardsotck for them.
    5. I have my dress, shoes, and jewlery.
    6. I bought my father's gift Saturday.
    7. Broom arrived
    8. Bought some of the bridal party gifts (still need to get a few items).

    Still need to (before 12-31-11) :
    Complete that daggum DIY list
    Get motivated and consistently work out w/ FI
    Get Mommy's wedding gift from FI and I
    Mail save the dates
    Make sure bridal party has ordered dresses no later than 11-30

    <font color="#0000FF">Oh yes. I am doing Zumba and love it!!!!  The only issue I am having is that my BC (Mirena) seems to be sabatoging me. I am losing inches and reshaping my body but the pounds are holding.  It's very weird and frustrating! Ugh. </font>

    Great Checks everyone...

    So far things have been going ok. I have:

    1.Confirmed the photo&video (down payment to be made next week)
    2.Confirmed DJ (down payment to be made next week)
    3.Cake Chosen w/deposit made
    4.Some bridal jewelry purchased
    5.My dress is IN!!!! they called me last week and let me know (sooo excited!!!)
    6.Chose cake topper (DIY porject)
    7. Went through all of my budget and pricing charts, and cut costs AGAIN!!! (and I'm still able to have all the components that FI and I want in the wedding!)
    8.Started marriage counseling
    9.Had family meet & greet (went better than expected)
    10.tuxes chosen
    11.website completed
    12.Invitations almost set and ready to go out (sending out earlier because of many family members being from OOT)

    in a NWR list:

    1. Moved into our new place this past weekend!!!!

    Sooo excited...things are moving sooo fast. I have a lot to do as far as DIY goes.. but I'll be good...lol.

    This weekend, my girls are ordering thier dresses, and the week after my flowergirl dress will be ordered.

    @Island07b2b - That just means you are gaining muscle. Trust I feel the same way. I've had the Mirena for about 4 months now and my clothes are baggy but the scale isn't moving. Be happy for lost inches :)

    Whew everybody is on a roll.....I think I'm stuck in a rut. Not really, but haven't really done much.

    1. Secured my DOC (she was my instructor in my Wedding Consultant class)
    2. Finalized attendants (well almost)
    3. Started work out plan

    I plan on really getting some things done since we just got through with my Nana's 92nd bday party last night. I'm beat!

    1.) Booked ceremony and venue and making payments
    2.) Engagement pictures have been taken for STD's and STD's have been received... waiting on website cards to come in so they can be mailed
    3.) Wedding Website is done.
    4.) My dress, and bridal party attire have been picked and payments are being made
    5.) Made my FG pomander ball for her to walk down the aisle with.
    6.) Designed invite mock-up... waiting until Jan. to order supplies
    7.) Videographer has been paid.
    8.) I have part of the BM's gifts.

    I am currently working on booking florist, dj, videographer, transportation, rehearsal dinner, and many other smaller things!

    I'm jealous ya'll!  I need to get on it!!

    So far:

    1)FI and I have booked e-pics for our all day shoot.  First half of payment due next week!

    2)I'll be traveling to Montgomery next month and will be spending some extended time with the FIL's *dun dun duuunnn* and we will be looking into booking his family church for the ceremony during that time.

    3) Have been checking out some dresses online just to see which styles I like.

    That's been it so far.  I will probably get into full "wedding mode" once we have the church locked in.  Great job ladies!  Ya'll are leaving me in the dust, LOL

    Hi! here are my checks. 

    -All vendors except for cake, lighting, and ,transportation are booked with deposits in hand.
    -Boys have their tux rental group set up
    - I have the BM dresses picked out but theres a little issue with the plus sized ladies' dresses.
    -Found a wedding band FI likes.
    -I have a dress secured at the dress rental place
    -Save the dates have been delivered ( some people think they are the invitation.lol SMH)
    -I started the invites but decided to send them to a friend that is an artist and graphic designer so he can make them better
    -Started purchasing wedding party and parents' gifts
    -Room block is secured
    - Bridal shower date is set.
    -Website is up and running
    -All the invite-making tools are purchased
    - online RSVP is set up nd just needs to be linked to our site once invites go out.
    - We are registered.

    Now, Whats NOT done

    - I need shoes, accesories, veil, and to make sure I really like my dress ( I can change if I want)
    - Find a baker , transportation company and figure out lighting.
    -Figure out BM dress situation so I can set up account for them
    -Make changes for men's tuxes
    -find myself a wedding band
    -Get invites and other stationary designed 
    -I still need to figure out our overall look for the day and solicit help for that from my mom and sister. 
    -need to start making lists.esp for DIY projects.
    -wanna have photo and video paid for by Jan 1st 
    -need to buy all the paper
    -need to purchase plane ticket to go home for fittings and "BMs labor day"
    - Marriage license
    - Counseling

    I need to forward myself this list so I can do it

    I'm moving along...slowly but surely

    1.I just need to finalize my photographer. We have one . I just need to send the contract and money
    2. Working on a dj. Waiting to get his contract info.
    3.Gotta finalize invites and get them ordered. (as well as get the addresses)
    4. TRIM this guest list!! We planned for 175 and after I finished putting everybody on the list in the computer we are 415Surprised?!? How in the world?!?!
    5.Cake-choose design and pay off
    6. Pay off venue...-dependent on final numbers
    7. Finalize our decor..

    Seems like a lot but I'll get it done. ;) No stress No stress No stress....

    -Invitations for destination wedding done and mailed( I mailed them early so people can plan accordingly for Mexico)
    -Epics done and hopefully will see them by Halloween

    -Purchase a dress for trash the dress session
