So I was on birth control from early teens to a year ago due to painful, Irregular periods. When we got engaged, I went off of them because I didnt want to enter marriage on the pill. The first few days are pretty awful. So painful I sometimes get sick, but Ive managed to deal. Ive tried other methods to manage it, but nothings worked like the pill. Well...Im going to be on day 2 my wedding day and obviously on my period for pur honeymoon. Do I go back on the pill for now and try again to go off after the wedding? I really dont want to be miserably sick on the happiest day of my life. Wwyd?

There are people that drive quite a distance to see a napro/NFP doctor to assist them in fertility issues that helps heal and cure problems rather than medicate the symptoms. Please do not go on the pill. It is very dangerous.

There are 3 docs in St. Louis (not too far of a drive for you if you are in central illinois). People drive father away from that to go to them. I highly recommend seeing one to help you fix what is going on. If you would like I can give you names.

I wouldn't go back on the pill. Speak to a doctor about managing the other symptoms. Once the pill is out of your system, things should be much easier. If not, I would certainly speak to an NFP doctor to treat any condition that might exist.

It all depends....why did you go off the pill?  If it is because of your religion (which I assume it is since you posted on the board and not another) then no don't go on back on it.  Talk to a doctor about ways to help your pain
But if you went off it to have kids then yes...I know when I had cramps it really helped me.  I am off it now and cramps can get bad but since I will be trying to get pregnant soon I went off of it.
