Apparently, they've cut tied with embryonic stem cell research facilities too. Perhaps this move against planned parenthood is about more than just the federal investigation.

Maybe SGK is trying to be more pro-life overall.

Hmmm... that's interesting. So I'm seeing a lot of angry people on facebook about SGK. I get the anger about spending money on pink products etc instead of spending money to help women get screened for breast cancner. But I don't understand why they can't provide money for screenings through anohter organization besides PP. Or why I feel like this has turned into an attack on people who are pro-life. I saw that my cousin (who is not Catholic) liked a picture that was on facebook that said

Will you still be pro-life after she is born?
Will you apply the same vigor to your work:
against war
against hunger
against poverty
against homelessness
against our planet's degradation
against capital punishment
for human rights
for opportunities for education and jobs
that you do to your efforts to make abortion illegal?
If not please stop calling yourself "pro-life"

I was so confused, because I am for all those things listed and I believe the church is on board as well. I didn't understand if it was supposed to be attack against SGK or pro-life people in general? People on facebook make no sense.

This issue has really upset me because I am pro-life and no one thinks twice about attacking my beliefs. I try to explain what life means to me but there are so many people out there that think an unborn child really isn't a child. In light of what should be a great moment for the pro-life movement made me really sad.

They need to turn that right back around on themselves... what has PP done for any of those issues? They aren't exactly directly affecting hunger, poverty, homelessness, environment, capital punishment, education, jobs, etc. They may claim that fewer unplanned pregnancies benefit women economically... but that is an incredibly utilitarian view of life. Their own lobbying is very much focused on their own equally narrow (and radical) special interests. Catholics have been around a LOT longer than Planned Parenthood has and already been in action on all of the above issues... for instance... Catholic Charities, Catholic Relief Services, Cor Unum, Cross International... I could go on. for a long time.
