It's Your Party Entertainment--- HELP

Has anyone used It's your party Entertainment as their dj recently? I met with Lisa and she seemed drunk (2 weeks ago) and now they have not contacted me since, and my wedding is in 5 days.

Has anyone had them at a wedding recently that can tell me if they showed up or not? I am worried they won't show up at the wedding.

Please help!

    Oh, wow.  I'd be a little anxious in your shoes, too! 

    Have you attempted to contact Lisa again?  Do you have a signed contract?  I'd call right away, and keep calling until you connect with someone and get the reassurances you need.  If they continue to be non-responsive, then I would seriously suggest preparing a Plan B -- even if that involves throwing together an iPod playlist "just in case."

    Oh that sucks. I would call constintly. Like PP posted, have you tried to modify your event? Does it say it is cancelled. Defintely have a plan B? Is it possible to hire someone last minute? I know some people are more willing to offer discounts last minute.

    I heard that they did not show up for 2 weddings this year already.
    Contact the Phx ADJA (American DJ Association) 
    Mark Sanchez is the president. A friend told me he helped the other brides find a DJ
    for their weddings.

    OMG...  I can't even imagine.

    Main thing is whether you have a contract with them or not...   but I would start calling some other companies and seeing if anyone is available last minute, and if they are, and you do have a contract, see if you can get out of it. 

    I honestly wouldn't even take the chance with it.

    Thanks for all your advice- we were able to find another DJ from Millenium entertainment who is REALLY nice and has been very helpful and comforting to us!

    I guess something is bound to go wrong with all weddings and we are just glad it happened now instead of on Saturday!!!

    Spread the word though- It's your Party is completely unreliable and we heard from several dj's that we contacted that other couples were in our same situation just a few weeks ago. We haven't been able to get our security deposit back... YET... Looks like we might have to take them to court :(

    Wow! I had them on my "call for info" list but I've definitely crossed them off after this! Thanks for the heads up!

    I know this is kinda cheesy, but what about 3 on your side from the news? If they pick up your story, it would be less pricey than taking them to court since most vendors typically refund or fix their mistakes. But I guess there would be no guarantee with this method. Just an idea.

    Oh wow.  Get on their case.  Stalk them!  If they don't contact you back, start looking for another DJ and call them on the breach of contract.  If you want their info, my DJ is AZ Celebrity DJ.  I know they have at least two DJs so maybe one isn't booked.  GL.
