Most of you probably already know that the Knot has been working on a new layout for the boards for a while now. They're letting the mods test it out right now and it definitely has some great new features. It should be coming out live by the end of next week if all goes well.

Here's some of the new features that it will have:
- Quote feature
- Edit button
- Emoticons
- Link feature

Also, no more questions about how to PIP! (Doing a little happy dance right now!) It will be much easier to post a picture without all the extra [thing-a-ma-jiggers] :)

A poster will not be able to delete their OP if it has responses (so if you've been on boards where they like to DD after you've taken the time to write out a response, tuff luck for them!). You can delete an individual response of your own within a post, but an OP can't delete a whole big thing.

The new boards will have a working Private Message feature that you can use instead of giving out your personal e-mail address. It will have a Polls function which is pretty cool. You will also have the ability to hide all siggy pics if you want to.

I am still testing it so when it comes out I will be able to answer your questions. As more info comes out to the Mods I will relay it to you ladies.

Is it like the nest? I love being able to change the settings over there so that whenever someone replies to a post it goes back to the top of the board.

From what I can tell it's similar to the Nest but I don't go on there very often.

One thing they really should implement is the option to preview and edit your posts. I can't say how annoying it is to reread a post having to delete it and repost just because I thought I made a goofy spelling error.Most BBC boards have it built in, I don't see a reason why we shouldn't have that feature.
