The most recent recommendation thread that I found was from 2009, so I thought that I'd start a new one...and hope that the recent site glitches don't eat it...
We're looking for a photographer along the coast for a wedding somewhere north of the Bay and probably up a little closer to Mendocino. Any rave reviews or stay-far-aways for the photographer that you have/had would be greatly appreciated.
Bonus, but certainly not required: do you know if they do small weddings and small wedding packages? We don't need a full day because we don't have many guests and are doing a restaurant instead of a reception.

I am this close to booking a husband/wife team based in San Leandro, they would probably charge a bit for travel fees, but their work looks amazing, and they have a super quick response time!

If you check out their info page it shows their promotional package for $2000 which includes 2 photographers for 8 hours, an engagement shoot, and a DVD with reprint release.
This is the best deal I've found so far!!

We are using Alicia Gines, aliciaginesphotography.com. Please let her know that Diane reccomended her. I'm really laid back and we're having a small wedding. She's been understanding and works around us beautifully. It doesn't hurt that she takes amazing photos and is extremely reasonable and can come up with a personalized option for what you need. Check her out, she's great :)

I was going to recommend Alicia as well! she shot our wedding, and she is Amazing!!
Glad to know there is another person out here to recommend her!!
The photo in my sig was shot by her and is just one of the amazing images that she has captured for us!!

I just signed with them. Very nice couple. No hidden fees. A great value for their quality of work. They just moved their business from the LA are to the Bay, so they're building their local clientele. I would sign with them while their prices are still discounted.
