Our local bridal salon has a plaque from The Knot for Best of Weddings 2010, but I can't see where the brides posted anything. This bridal salon isn't even listed anywhere on this web site, anyone know how to find out what brides are saying.

We're getting married next October 15th at The Village at Boulder Ridge in Barkhamsted. VERY affordable. We're paying for all of it ourselves and can totally afford this place and we're having 150 people. It's beautiful, locally-owned and a day camp during the week! Very beautiful and earthy. When you drive up the huge hill of a street, the trees canopy the road.

Their open season is April 15-October 15. Check them out... they already seem very easy to work with!

I'm getting married at The Society Room in downtown Hartford. Venue is so grand and beautiful and just so excited for the big day in May.
Mariellas Creation for dresses is a great place to try on lots of designers and can work with all budgets:) Love them as they worked well with me changing my mind on the first one.
My photographer is Julie of Jewel Photo and she is just so fantastic and very excited to work with her.

We are getting married at the Waterview in Monroe next year. Normally this place is very expensive, but they do have great deals for the winter time and for certain days that are less desirable. I would suggest finding venues that you like and then finding a date that is cheap that they have available.

Just joined the Knot- so excited. Spending all morning looking at all the posts. My fiance thinks I am crazy. He is clueless- lol. Has anyone heard of LT Photography from Wallingford? We originally heard about them because of LT Entertainment. Looks like the owner owns both companies. When we met with their DJ, he told us about their photography studio. Their work looks great and I like that they do both services. Plus they are the only ones my fiance liked so far. This is so hard to make a decision.

One addition to your list...she's a must have. Marie Tyler Wiley . She's a fantastic wedding officiant. 5 * as far as we're concerned. Google her name, you'll find plenty written about her and she won on The Knot's list, and Bride mag and many others. She's upbeat and fun to work with.

My guest still rave about her!!! They all said it was the best wedding ever!!!

I absolutely LOVED our photographer! She was great, she has an awesome sense of humor, really easy to work with and super affordable!! She also has another photographer that she works with if you have a bigger wedding that she can bring (obviously for an additional cost) but she is now working with a local DJ and they are doing package pricing so you get an AMAZING deal. If you want check her on on her fan page on facebook from there I believe she has all her info :) Anyone who hires her will NOT be dissapointed. She gives you a CD of all the images and a release of copyrights too so you can print how ever many you want of them!!! Its "Photography By Krista"

I'm getting married in April at Glastonbury Hills Country Club in South Glastonbury. Its a beautiful place and very budget friendly! We're hoping to have around 150 but 175 have made the list so we'll see what happens. When we went to see the place they were great and they have several plated dinner options or buffet options including open bar and the cake for under $80 per person! The food is great and the views for the huge windows onto the golf course is awesome! I know three other people who have had their weddings there and have nothing but great things to say! Oh and I almost forgot! You can choose napkin linen color and they have 3 varieties of centerpieces you can choose to use, or not, all included in the package!

One note: You can't go onto the golf course to take pictures but they have a beautiful gazebo and archway as well as stonewalls to take pictures in front of.

Check out CT Wedding group http://www.pavilioncatering.com They have very reasonable prices and some beautiful locations. I'm having my wedding at the Pavilion at Crystal Lake in September this year and got a GREAT deal! If you wait until their Bridal shows sometimes they have even better deals on the dates they have remaining if your not looking for a particular date that is! best wishes!

the fox hill inn (in danbury) is very reasonable & has a beautiful staircase (great for pictures)

if you haven't picked out your wedding cake I would 100% suggest CakeSuite (in Westport) & J cakes (in north branford)- if cupcakes are your thing Sugar (in East Haven) would be the top of my list

My photographer is Prestige-Barkley (in Stratford) they're also very reasonable and friendly!

My florist is Simple N' Elegant (in Norwalk) but I would also suggest Peter's Wholesale Florist (in Stamford) they're both very talented

Had the lowest rates I could find and an infectious personality and did a wonderful job keeping my guests entertained and getting them out on the floor! :)

Also, I found a great calligrapher for anyone who needs help with any stationary needs (programs, placecards, invitation calligraphy, etc.). I was desperate because I'm DIY-retarded and I couldn't find anyone. I googled and got lucky - she was great to work with and her prices were totally reasonable:
