Soo, to stop lurking:
My fiance and I got engaged December 10th but took a while deciding on a venue. Things have finally started coming together all in the past 10 days! Our wedding date is July 28th, 2012. It seems a bit fast, but I'm a teacher and didn't want to wait till next summer, so I hope we can get everything done in time.

Checks:
Venue- Hop Meadow Country Club in Simsbury
Church- St. Peter Claver in West Hartford
STDs- from vista print ($160 for 130 with the cute matching envelopes)
Dress- from Camille la Vie (West Nyack, NY store)

Welcome to the board! Great checks. If you're going to keep using Vistaprint, keep an eye on the Budget board and the DIY board- many times there are Groupons for Vistaprint ($15 for $50, $17 for $70) and brides will post about them so others can get a great deal too.

Congrats and welcome. I agree with the other girls on Vistaprint coupons. I did my save the dates on there and got 110 and used a $10 for $50 coupon and got 30% off so I spent something like $30 total for them.

Also, some people advise against covering up your last names when posting pictures of save the dates, invites etc. so that all of your information isn't out there. Just an FYI
