I've read a few older posts and some girls got awesome prices for shuttles (I think someone said it was around $350). I've called around and one place gave me a quote for $730 and another for around $500 (they didn't calculate details), both for school busses.

$350 seemed reasonable but $500++ is seeming a little expensive..... The hotel/church/reception are all within like 15 min of each other.

Can I ask what you guys are paying?

would you mind PMing me with the company? Glad to hear you got a great rate!

They said they would charge for the 5 hour wait time of the reception (which seems a little crazy considering the bus company is from the same town which is like 5 square miles). I'm debating hiring one company for the hotel-church-reception run and another company to drive back to the hotel from the reception 5 hours later....I hate paying for the 5 hours they are waiting!

I am using First Student and paying $360. They are leaving during the reception so not paying for that time.

Thanks c_meahan!!

However, I'm so confused! I called First Student in Bethel, CT today and here's what I wanted:

1:15 - hotel to church (1 town over, max 15 min trip)
3:40 - church to reception (same town, 10 min trip)
9:00 - reception to hotel (back to 1 town over, 15 min max)

I think they were the ones who said approx. $500. (I left my notes at work) and another company (I forget which one) said $75/hour INCLUDING the time at the reception.

Why is everyone else getting in the $350 range and my lowest is in the $500 range? Am I missing something in my request???

I have blocks reserved at 2 hotels, would a bus pick up/drop off at both hotels? (No one has reserved rooms yet so I don't even know if both will be used- just wondering)

Just called First Student and they are leaving during our reception too, so we only will need them for like 3 hours total. I think the lady said $65 an hour. A LOT cheaper than I expected!

Junebug- They definitely will- you pretty much tell them where and when to go and they will give you a quote.
