Dry Cleaning

Hi Ladies,

I got my gown at a sample sale so i'm thinking of getting it dry cleaned. I got 50% off the dry cleaning from the boutique where I bought it from.  The thing is the gown is not dirty but I know it has been tried on by different people. It was actually just from this past spring collection. I don't know if it would make that much difference when I do get it cleaned.

I need to get the dress altered after so I'm trying to figure out whether I should bother spending the money on dry cleaning. I already spent a lot on my gown so I would rather not waste money. It's a ball gown and I went to the dry cleaning place where I have the 50% off and I showed the worker there how much she thinks it would cost. She could not give me a quote and she said I have to bring the dress so she can look at it.

any help would be appreciated

Re: Dry Cleaning

  • Have it cleaned and pressed after alterations.

  • I went ahead and had my sample gown cleaned it was only $30 (max would have been $50 for a more elaborate gown) and all the little spots I showed them came out they did a great job.
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
