Wedding Dress Donate

My wedding has come and gone and I'm hoping to find a good home for my wedding dress.  Rather than make a profit on it, I'd like to donate it to someone who really needs it.  It's a size 12 Oleg Cassini gown that I absolutely loved!  You can see pics also on the David's Bridal site.

But if you'd like to see it on someone other than a stick thin model, let me know and I can email you more pictures.  I received so many compliments on this dress.  If you're looking for something fun and flirty, this could be for you!

If you have any interest, let me know your story.  I'd love to help out a deserving bride.

Me: 35/Hubs: 35 - just moved to Minneapolis from Chicago. TTC for 18 months and expecting baby #1 April 18, 2012! Needed IVF after a few failed rounds of IUI and it worked!

If you can't find anyone to take it off of your hands you can also donate it to 'brides against breast cancer'

Actually I am not one that really responds to these type of chats but please let me tell you my story. My name is Rachael. My fiancée name is Dan. He rescued me from a very abusive relationship. I am missing teeth and actually had my arm broken by my ex.  I met him with nothing and was completely lost. I had four children and was never married. He has two children and was married but was divorced.  After three years he helped me graduate college and I did that with high honors. We have gotten our large family together and I currently work as a teacher and I am very involved with my children all of them!! Did I mention that we have a daughter together as well. That brings our grand total to 7! He asked me to marry him with the childrens' help and everyone agreed that this is important to everyone. I am very good at being at a budget, but I am totally lost with the wedding thing, I did look at the dress and it is beautiful! I just want this day to be perfect and if you could help that would be great. I could then focus on the clothes for the children or anything and everything else! I really like your idea and even if you don't want to help me you have, because I will be "paying it forward" because of the great post you have sent after my wedding!! Thank you!!

This is Rachael. Sorry if this comes off rude BUT responses to my other messages made my jaw drop. I have been dealing with sick children, hospital stays and now surgery for one this Thursday. I wish that I could say that this is the most important thing to me, this website, but it is not. The kids are, but since I have a minute I would like to thank you so much for your lovely offer but I am going to have to decline. My Godmother said that she would be able to either fix that one or make me one, she has MS and recently had a spell that put her under the weather, I have yet to speak with her as that is not something I feel I should bother her with. I am so shocked at most of the things that people had to say I have am sick. But you are  a sweetheart and I will still be paying it forward when I do decide what exactly it is I will be doing. I appreciate it more than you know. I am glad to know that there are people in the world that have decent hearts. Thanks again but I will be posting again when I give whatever dress I get to someone just as you did. Thanks again
    Rachael
