We have a budget, and cannot find a DJ within it. We really cant go over $1,000 for our Saturday night wedding. Does anyone have a reference or know where I could look. THANKS.

I believe there are some recent posts discussing many different DJs. Lori and Melody from Melodies and Memories is in your price range.

I used Your Special Day DJ and I found him through The Knot.  He was under $1000 for unlimited time.

We used "That DJ Guy" last year at my daughter's wedding. He had packages from $600 and up, I think. I think he lives in McKinney, and works the whole metroplex area. We paid about $850, for unlimited time, standard lighting, and a few candid photos of the reception. He was very professional, friendly and personable, without being cheesy. pete@thatdjguy.com 214-923-4299

I will just copy and paste my previous response since that is easier! We used and have recommended Matt with DJ'S of DALLAS (www.djsofdallas.com). He is really one of the few vendors that I feel completely comfortable recommending to several people (limo and videographer are the other two if you need them). He was extremely professional and fun. We came in at about $1000 for 4+ hours, sound and lighting, AND uplighting! Did you tell the other DJ you talked to what your budget was? A lot of vendors will work with you on price especially in these times! just a thought..
