I am planning a June 2013 wedding for about 175 people and I am getting close to choosing a venue. I looked at the Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover last weekend. It works great for my budget, and the room is beautiful, but I’m worried about the size. The dance floor is a great size for our group, but the space in the dining area and in other parts of the room seems to be lacking. They said it could fit up to 250 people at rounds, plus a head table, but I don’t see how you could get more then 175 in there (unless you put tables on the dance floor, and even then I don’t see it!) I am afraid everyone would be squished during dinner and not have much space to mill around after dinner if they don’t want to dance. Has anyone been to a wedding there? What do you think of the size? I may be over thinking this.

They were my 2nd choice in venue. We had the same reservations as you but we also had over 250. There was a girl in NH who had to use them after the George Town Country Club, closed down and they said the space worked perfectly fine for 250.

Thanks! I am going for a second look this weekend so I will keep that in mind. If 250 can definitely fit in there, then 175 should be a piece of cake in theory.
