 there are a few cute places in Newton Centre and there is that giant parking lot there also. Union St restaurant is great and they have that upstairs you can use for functions. There's also Union Station and a bunch of others right there...

 Try Vecchia Roma on Watertown Street. We had a company Christmas Party there and the food and service were great.

 Fiorella's in Newton is awesome. You could also try Bill's Pizza in Newton, great food and a fun vibe, especially if you are going for casual.
