Hair/Make up Recommendations??

Hey!

I'm the MOH for a wedding on August 14th and I'm looking for someone to do hair and makeup for the bride and at least a couple of others. The bride's on a budget, so price is important. The wedding is in Blue Springs, but anywhere around Liberty, Independence, Blue Springs or Lee's Summit would be fine.

Do you think it'd be cheaper if we went to a salon instead of them coming to the venue?

    I've been looking through Craigslist for a violinist and have come across quite a few make-up artists/beauticians.  I would check them out.  Alot of them are up and coming and will have cheaper prices, but they are still good!  The girl that does my hair said a lot of girls from the school will use craigslist to advertise when they get out.

    I am using Carlee from Creative Images in Blue Springs.  So far she has been great to work with, a friend who uses her recommended her to me.  I have my wedding on Saturday, so I can give you pics afterwards.  She is $30 for makeup, and $30 for down do's and $45 for up do's.  HTH!  Good luck!

    She is from the lee's summit area. I am thinking about using her, I haven't done seen her work yet b ut she is fairly reasonable

    As far as whether to get your hair done at the studio, or have them come to you, it depends on how many hairstylists you need. If they have to close down their studio in order to come to you, you're obviously going to have to pay more. But, if they are able to work you in with their regular hours, that would most likely be cheaper for you.

    i am a hairstylist and i personally prefer to come to you...... i think its more fun and personal to do it that way my prices are the same either way.
