The state you're getting married in. I think at least three days before, but you should double check!

So.
I'm going out of state for the elopment.
Kinda hard to swing going twice in such a short amount of time.

http://www.cityclerk.nyc.gov/html/marriage/license.shtml Here it says you cannot be married for 24 hours after the license is issued, so it looks like you are going to have to go early the day before. I hope it works out. In vegas you can get married the same day!

We're going to elope at Niagara falls, and its a 24 hour waiting period there.

Which I guess is nice since in michigan its like a 3 day.

MI does have a 3 day waiting period from the time you apply untill the time you actually get the licence. We applyed online so I only had to make one trip downtown(I hate parking down there, my truck doesnt fit in the parking garages.) Check online to see if you can apply from home and just pick it up there. It will prolly save you some time.
