I got a call from Associated Consultants USA saying my FI and I have won a free cruise to the Bahamas, 2 champagne toasting flutes, and a designer apron. I looked on their website (after returning their original call, and am now waiting on the call back from them) and it says you have to go to their Showcase of items to get the prizes.
Have any of you gone to this Showcase? Is it really "no stress" and "no purchase necessary" like the website says??
Let me know! My FI and I are very cautious because we don't want to end up sucked into a scheme..

My best friend got the call... she and her FI (H now) went and said it's a bunch of BS and that they pretty much want you to buy a lot of stuff and the cruise isn't actually free it's just a bunch of mumble jumble... when I got the call from 3 DIFFERENT consultants after I said "sure we'll come" (even though I knew we weren't going to go... I just needed them to stop calling and driving me crazy) I knew for sure it was a hoax and I didn't want to get involved in it!

What do you mean by the cruise isn't actually free? I know you have to pay your own airfare, but isn't the cruise part (3 days 2 nights) free?
Please elaborate a bit?

I got the same thing and I haven't gone (or decided if I'm going to). I'll elaborate on what they told me.
They pay for: Cabin Entertainment Food in the main dining place
You pay for: Airfare Taxes Food in the "nicer" place Excursions Drinks I assume Cabin upgrade if you want (I looked at pics of the cabins and omg.. so tiny)
So.. it's a nice deal if you have the money for the rest of the stuff! I'm still not sure if we want to do it or not. I would love to go but I don't know if we really have the money for all of that!
ETA: I should also mention that a friend of mine also got this. They went on the cruise and said they had a great time (and I'm 99% sure they didn't buy anything at the warehouse). I think some of the info above was actually from her.

Did they have to go to a timeshare presentation in Florida at all?? Just curious as my FFIL told my FI he had to when he went on a cruise like this one..
How much was it to upgrade? Does she remember?
We are trying to figure out what we want to do, we are just cautious like I said before..
