Were are some good places to look at possible invitations or places that will work with you to design your own? There must be some local companies around. I have ordered some samples from online companies, but we just can't seem to find anything we both agree on.

Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated!

We ordered ours through Papyrus (they were great!), but we had also checked out Epitome in Edina and Paper Rock Scissor in Minneapolis. Might be more expensive to design your own, but in your case that might be worth it? HTH

I found that Paper Depot had the most reasonable prices and also friendly staff. Take a peek at their inspiration boards located toward the front left of the entrance.

We purchased our STD & invite materials there.

ditto PP on Paper Depot. I made ours with inspiration from their display boards in the store. My invites ended up costing about a third of what my sister's very straightforward invites cost that we still had to assemble ourselves. I tend to enjoy crafty projects so didn't find the project intimidating. In fact, I really enjoyed putting my ideas into the final product.

I swear by The Aerilaist Press. I really wanted letterpress invites (i'm a total stationary nerd) and they were by far the cheapest place I found for them. They were amazing to work with and I got raves about the product.

We got ours at JoAnn Fabrics... have your friends and family save up a bunch of the 40% or 50% off coupons from the paper and go use those - we got 200 invitations for around $80 and just printed them from our own printer. Michael's is another great place to do that!
