Well... I am getting married on May 8, 2012 which is a Tuesday and the reception will be May 11, 2012 which is a Friday. We had our hearts set on getting married May 8th since that was the day of your first date and have always considered that our anniversary date. We are getting married at the Justice of the Peace. We decided to plan the reception on a Friday because we are going on a cruise the next day. We didn't want a reception but I was watching all of those wedding shows and changed my mind. Well, now I feel overwhelmed because I have so much to plan on a budget. Many people are trying to get me to change the reception date but if we do, it will affect our cruise AND I really want to go on this cruise. I kinda got off subject. I need help. I have friends that are helping but they are single and never planned a wedding before. So... please offer me advice on EVERY and ANYTHING! Thanks in advance!!!
Almost forgot: I am in the Jackson area and our wedding colors are black and white.

What do you need help with? Where is your reception? Are you having alcohol or no alcohol? I would first figure out your food situation. Are you having a caterer or friends bring food? Do you have tables, chairs and linens. What about the centerpieces? Do you have your entertainment. These are the main things, in my opinion, for a reception. I live in Jackson and if there is anyway I can help let me know!

Hey! It's cool to feel overwhelmed - I'm pretty sure we all made it to that point. I'm in Jackson too - what can we do to help? Give me specifics and I'll come up with some answers for ya =)
