I'm booking the flamingo on line and it says deposit required and have a 72 hour cancellation policy. I assume that means you can cancel up to 72 hours before checkin or does it mean you have 72 hours

 I'm booking the flamingo on line and it says deposit required and have a 72 hour cancellation policy. I assume that means you can cancel up to 72 hours before checkin or does it mean you have 72 hours to cancel from the time of reservation. Just wanna be clear before i book.
