Marriage License Info

You can pre-register for your marriage license online up to 60 days prior to picking up your license (http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/Depts/clerk/Pages/PreApp.aspx). A license is valid for one year from the time of issue.

If you register online you can use the Express Window to pick up your license we recommend doing this! Your wait time will be significantly shorter than if you don't. Weekends, holidays, and significant wedding dates (11-11-11) will have longer wait times and you will want to avoid the long lines when possible.

Currently the license website only works with internet explorer. If you use any other browser you will most likely encounter an error.

If one of the two parties getting married was previously married and is divorced you need to enter 2 as the number of marriages

A great way to look for group dining options for a restaurant reception is

I used this heavily during my reception search because they have pictures of a lot of the private dining room options. They also have contact information for group dining coordinators.

I booked my ceremony through 702weddings. They have alot of options available at very reasonable costs. They also have pacakges that include flowers, limo, pictures and even a reception. My fiance and I are on a limited budget so this seemed like a nice alternative to the more expensive "casino and resort" weddings.

Ok, for those of you getting married or already got married in Vegas. Did yall have a reception?? Or is reserving part of a club ok?? Also, we want it to be kind of small, so is sending out save the dates enough? The people I want to come I talk to almost daily, so they know all the info. I don't want to be tacky. Anyone get married at Treasure Island?

Nikki- you should probably start a new post for this since the stickys are usually over looked. But yes, I did have a reception, and you should too for any guests that make the trip. As for reserving part of a club, do you mean you will be providing bottle service and apps for everyone, and of course their cover charge? I am a bit confused at that part, maybe you can explain more in a new post. I also do not know why you would only send out save the dates, why don't you just send out invites? STDs are not required at all, so I would just skip them and do invites.

I was planning the big wedding and have completely changed everything and decided to go vegas. Does anyone have any recommendations on a nice place to say I DO? I've never been to vegas so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm getting ,married in November and have planned a small ceremony followed by dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant. But I'm at a loss for what to do after dinner. I've called a few clubs about reserving tables but they charge a small fortune to do so. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

i myself did not get married at TI but did attend one and the chaple was very nice i know they have wedding packages where you get pic, hair, make up, and a dvd.

What kind of feel are you looking for? Most of the hotels have chapels on-site, so you can do that for a more "traditional" ceremony. There's also Vegas-style chapels, Elvis officiants, etc! The "wedding porn" thread (right below this one) has a list of all the brides and their ceremony/reception locations.

Does anyone know of a Beauty Salon that does hair and makeup for under $100. Everywhere I look it's around $130 for the bride. Can someone help me? I'm going to visit in December but I'd like to find one now so I can check them out in December. My wedding is in April.

I don't know that you're going to find anything lower than $130, that's actually a pretty amazing price for hair AND makeup.

My fiance and I are getting married at the Bellagio Hotel. We are interested in having a dinner after the ceremony, but cannot decide on a place. We have 40 guests joining us and we would like a private or semi-private room. Our budget for the dinner is $75/person.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hello. My Fiance and I are getting married in Vegas this summer. I do not wish for our guests and wedding party to be roasted alive outside. But we want an outdoors feel to our ceremony. Any suggestions? Also affordable. Our budget is pretty small.

Do it earlier in the Summer and probably try and get the last time, 6:00 pm or later.

Maybe the chapel of flowers in their gazebo area.
