Hey Las Vegas brides and grooms. Chat here about the best tips, Knottie GTGs, and wedding planning in your area.

So I know I can't "run off to Vegas" and get married for $200.  I get it.  But it's just my FI, myself and our two attendants that are going.  MAYBE two other people... but I doubt it.&

So I know I can't "run off to Vegas" and get married for $200. I get it. But it's just my FI, myself and our two attendants that are going. MAYBE two other people... but I doubt it. So there will be four people total at my wedding. Now, I can't see spending over $1000 for this ceremony. I don't need or want a reception, just a simple romantic wedding for more thatn 5 mintues. A lot of the reviews about Graceland says that they treat the couples like "quickie" weddings and weren't given very much attention.

I am finding the "regular" Vegas chapels and am considering either the Little Church of West or Graceland Chapel. I don't really need pictures as I am finalizing details with Todd Wilson and again, no reception. I want a traditional wedding were we are couple, not just a number. I have the perfect dress and a cathedral length veil (yes I know...but I bought it before we decided to go to Vegas and I paid for it so I want to wear it!

)

Any advice where I can have this without paying an arm and leg, or being treated as a "quickie" Vegas wedding.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone with this post...

Do you even need a chapel? Why not just hire an officiant to come to somewhere that you choose and configure the way you want? Tons of options around Vegas if you don't need a formal chapel.

I do like the idea of an indoor wedding but not so much of the "in suite" idea. My FI likes the idea of a "true Vegas wedding" so we're trying to combine the two a bit. Oh, and our wedding will be on a Sunday so that takes Chapel of Flowers out. Ahhhh!!!! I feel like Im being such a difficult bride and I don't want to be. I just want an intimate traditional wedding with a "Vegas" twist that won't cost me over $1000. I feel like Im being too demanding.

I just booked at the Skyline Chapel at Imperial Palace. They have a package for $350 [plus $75 for the officiant]. It includes a coordinator, ceremony, pianist during ceremony, small bouquet, boutonniere, 6 4x6 photos [$150 if you want your own photographer to shoot during ceremony], wedding album and certificate holder.

They just renovated the chapel, and it's beautiful. Maybe this could be an option?? And since your FI wants a "true Vegas wedding" you can add an Elvis officiant for $350, or an impersonator as a witness for $125.

from pictures i've seen of the chapel at imperial i would definitely check it out - it is beautiful! and then you can lay some bets at the dealertainers tables! lol

When you say "no reception" I assume you mean the traditional type of reception. I also assume that you will be taking your few guests out for dinner or lunch or something? If not, please factor that in, as it is proper etiquette to host your guests, no matter how few.

I hope the Imperial Palace chapel works out for you. IP is so kitschy old Vegas, but the pictures I've seen of the chapel are beautiful and modern!

I don't think anything says "true Vegas wedding" like getting married at the Welcome to LV sign.. lol.. and with so few guests it's definitely something you could do.

i agree with themrsJRD! If I only had 4 wedding guests... I'd choose to get married at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign faster than a Las Vegas drive-thru wedding :)

You could totally do your ceremony on $200. Have your FI's closest friend become an officiant! :)
