It's IN MY HANDS!!

Guys, I'm here! I always have my eye on the board, it's just that my work schedule is all over the place...

BUT - I had to share the big news, and made a whole new SN for the occasion...

We bit the proverbial bullet and purchased the Master CD from Cashman for
TWENTY.THREE.HUNDRED.DOLLARS

The "piece of work" came in a sleek case just like the others.

Well, now on to our next adventure... the upcoming anniversary photo shoot is in the works! Will tell you all about it as soon as it becomes final.

ETA - forgot to mention that we were offered 50% off the actual price... can you believe it?!? Damn, these prices... upside is that now we can finally use the high res images. I couldn't bring myself to let them go destroyed.

    I don't think I would be able to let them be destroyed either.  It's a ridiculous amount of money, but I doubt you'll regret it.  How many photos are on the disk?

    I was ready to get down on my knees and beg them for a discount had they not offered it. What can I say, we knew the day would have come. Better not think about it too much and move on.
    On the brigth side, they're even more fabulous in high res :))) All 600 of them.
    I can finally put together the coffee table books we promised our parents.

    Oh my word! Glad you are happy with it! :) Enjoy! ETA Just so you all don't think I'm a vendor (joined 2001/posts 1!?!) It's Hitonsgirl. I'm in the process of trying to change my account, since my wedding has been called off/postponed (??...still not sure if we'll work this out) TK is all sorts of screwy in that department! I still want to lurk and wish my April brides well wishes (and mostly see photos--hint, hint!) So, as soon as I get a valid new username, I will let you know! I miss being a part of this board! :(

    I'd love to hear their break-down of costs.  I have a BA in photography and I can't even fathom how they could justify the cost per image for "rights" -- it's not like it is fine art that they're selling the rights to!
