Vegas FAQ--- a list of vendors compiled by past knotties (I know some of you would like information added to this site, but, at current time, the knottie who operated it last cannot find the password!).
Current Knotties---I'm leaving this thread open, even though it's a sticky---PLEASE add any information you might think new knottie's here would need to know, or might like to know (i.e. link's to vendors that are not in the Vegas FAQ, tips for budgets, DIY info, etc.).

I wanted to let you guys know about a few companies that contact you after you get married to try and get you to order your marriage certificates through them. They look fairly official but the cost is significantly more than ordering them from Clark County yourself.
The two letters I got today were from Document Retrieval Services and Vegas Marriage Certificates & Document Recording and Retrievel Services. The cost was anywhere from $25-27 for the first copy to $19-20 for additional copies.
You can order your certificates directly from the county here: http://www.accessclarkcounty.com/depts/recorder/Pages/default.aspx for $15 a copy plus a $3.50 handling fee for your order.
They give you the link when you pick up your marriage license but in case you loose the little info sheet (or spill an entire drink on it like I did), you might want to bookmark the page.

Hi there!
My fiance has great memories of vacationing at Lake Tahoe growing up. I've never been. I'm trying to get ideas about feasability of having our small wedding there. I've always wanted a fall wedding because I love the colors of the changing season, but I've been told that the 3rd week in October is too cold for Tahoe.
My questions:
- Suggestions for location that would showcase fall colors [small wedding ~50]
- Recommendations for dates that would allow to view colors changing, but not have our guese freezing their booties off! :)

My friend just got married in las vegas and I was in her wedding, she researched all the makeup sites and HANDS DOWN shannonhartmakeup.com was the best. she did an AMAZING JOB on all of our makeup and her price was the best too! Her name is Shannon

I think everyone has their own views/recommendations on make up artists. You can certainly post that topic...definitely brides will share with you who they have used, as well as checking knottie bios.

Hi Everyone!
I'm new to this board--- I am planning a destination wedding to Las Vegas, and currently am looking at several resorts. I'm a DIY gal, who would GLADLY welcom any reccommendations/photos of resorts you used that you loved!
Just from online research and email contact, I really like the Wynn, and Mandalay Bay, although I want to use a family relative (ordained minister) to officiate the wedding and some places don't allow outside anything (boo!).
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Need a cheap reception for a small wedding, 15-20 people.
Doing a rush plan for April since my fiance's mom passed away suddenly from complicatons associated with MS and we're tapped, travel from AZ to MI last min is expensive. We're looking at Caesars Palace for the wedding but their reception packages we can't afford if we intend on having a decent wedding...any suggestions??

Most of the strip chapels/hotels insist that you use their vendors. Some places that I know don't-Four Seasons, Mandarin, Dragon Ridge (way off strip though).
