The Platinum Hotel-Misora Room?

I was just wondering if anyone has seen the Misora room at The Platinum Hotel. We are considering booking it for our venue but I just wanted to see if anyone has anything to say about it or The Platinum Hotel itself. Thanks!

Saw it in person by sneaking in when it was empty. How many guests? Asking b/c it wasn't as large as I expected. Other than that, everything there is very nice.

I believe LilMissScareAll booked at Platinum.

Personally, I loved their pool area the most. We decided to go a completely different direction, but if not for that, Platinum was one of the places we were considering.

Meat is right,
I'm booked at Platinum but down at Kil@wat with the pool deck. So is Natrasha. My guest list is 98, so we wouldn't fit up there. Nicole has been good to work with so far, a little slow at returning emails, but anytime I call she has the answers ready to go. She was able to work with me on the room minimum as well.
I really like that I can bring in my own vendors. That's one of the things that sold me. We also have a guaranteed rate for our guests as long as they book by Sept 14th (1 month before the wedding)
Feel free to ask me about any other questions you might have. I have a whole folder of files, pics, and misc stuff. I spent a whole lot of time googling before I booked there.
We are going out to visit next month (April 21-23) so if you want me to check anything out I'd be happy to post.

We are going to have between 15-25 guests. I really wanted to have it somewhere we we can have the ceremony & reception. Before here we were looking into Wynn & Chapel in the Clouds. Thanks for your input!

Our group is too big for Misora as well, but the pictures look amazing. I remember someone saying she wouldn't recommend more than 80 up there. Nicole is really great. I talked to her on Friday and she calmed my fears and concerns, and we are moving our ceremony there, to the pool deck. She's great at recommending vendors!

We are doing Kilowat and the pool as well. We originally booked Misora but it was to small for our group. Misora would work for 15-25, its a really nice space! Nicole has been great to work with and so far the only snafu has been the hotel giving away our block of rooms before the agree upon date. Nicole has been really awesome in trying to make it up to us and our guests have mostly found rooms next door at Tuscany so it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be.

We are having our reception at Misora. It will be a full room since we are expecting anywhere from 70-80 people and the room holds 80. The room will be perfect for your size reception. What sold us was the view and having a reception outside on the 17th floor rooftop with the strip all lit up in front of us. Nicole has been really great to work with and she works with you to make sure everything falls into place. Very nice and very helpful! She has recommended vendors that she has worked closely with. We went with all of her suggestions on vendors except for photography which is an outside vendor and wasn't on the preferred vendor list that she gave us. We are scheduled to do our tasting with her on 3/28 so I will let you know how that goes and how the food is. Let me know if you have any other questions!

hey ladies, i actually just got info from Nicole about different options. And i am also considering Platinum for our wedding. We will about 25 ppl.

LilMissScareAll do u happen to have any pictures from the past weddings at Platinum?Nicole sent me the flickr link, but i was trying to google some more, but not much came up.
I was looking in to doing this all inclusive package for 25ppl for 6K, did anyone did the math as far as if not going with there all inclusive package and bringing ur own vendors, would that be more practical?more expensive?
I might innogotiate for the photographer, and not have hime for the whole time, and just keep him for the ceremony. My FI brother is the photographer, so he can snap some pictures during dinner. But instead i might ask to upgrade for a hard licquer during dinner....
any suggestions ladies?oh does anyone knows what centerpieces they provide if you go with their package?

hey guys, im in the grind with all the prep work. I know Platinum allows outside vendors, but im not sure how that works, because Nicole gave me a list of preffered vendors that i can choose from. Does it mean i have to pick one of them?not quite sure...can someone fill me in please. Thank you

Oh ok, i will have to look in to it... I was kind of under impression if you are having a package for 25-30ppl for 6k it came with music,food, flowers, some decarations. And that they already have a price fee inogotiated with this vendors, so it comes to 6k?
Which package are you going with? I really like the idea of Platinum, since i can have a ceremony there and not have to worry about shuttling ppl for reception, and that its already on the strip...very convinient

I think you are right with the package deal, she will be the one to set up the vendors. I am sure she will consult them with you though. That is the exact reason I picked the Platinum also. I wanted it all to be in one place. Let me know if you have any other questions.

i know you mentioned about doing the $2500 food minimum. Is it a sit down plate dinner or family style buffet?does 2500$is just food or alcohol also? how many people are you having? are you going above and beyond with everything like flowers, centerpieces,pictures, music etc..I will not be having more then 30ppl so do you think(since you already looked in to vendors)it will be way more expensive then just to use there all inclusive package at the hotel?just trying to figure out what would be the best way to do it, to make it fun/beautiful and not spending ton of money.....

You actually have the choice on the meal. It can be plated or buffet. Each one has a different price. The $2,500 does include alcohol. There are different bars they offer as well. You can get them to send you the menu selections or I can send you my copy. We are having 25 guests. I don't think it will be a lot more expensive. I wanted to do it this way because I wanted only to spend certain amount on certain things that maybe aren't quite as important than others. Like I knew I wanted to get a good photographer. I didn't need anything fancy for the flowers. If you are really good with a budget I would do it all yourself. If you think it might get overwhelming then go with the inclusive package. It was hard for me at first to decide too. Let me know if you need me to send you that copy of the menu prices

Im a little confused about the $2,500 minimum food and beverage for the Platinum.

If you go Ala Carte, is their a fee and then additional $2,500 or is the ceremony and reception space included with this price?
