When I hear winter wonderland for some reason I immediately envision snow covered trees. Center pieces with big tree branches (maybe willow) spray painted silver. also lots of crystals and some white flowers. Maybe hydrangea because they are big and puffy...sort of like snow balls?! ice blue/silver/white colors? IDK totally what I thought of on a whim.. HTH :)

Or evergreen centerpieces with silver decorations/snowflakes. Lots of glitter and sparkle. I love the crystals ans willow branches too. But to me the only thing colorful in the winter is evergreens. I think Marth Stewart had a lot of nice examples of winter center pieces. She uses a lot of white, red and green. And lots of cool colors.

I agree with mollymcshea.  Lots of candles would be great, too, if your venue allows.  Go to http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi and search for terms such as "winter centerpieces."  Lots to see.

I love all of those ideas too. You can also find branches on www.saveoncrafts.com with icicle like branches, they are soooo pretty! You should do lots of hanging lights on the ceilings too.

I had two roommates with winter weddings.  One roommate did simple narrow vases with poufs of baby's breath at each table surrounded by a cluster of votive candles at the base.  My other roommate went the more "greenery" route with pine boughs and pinecones in tall vases, curly willow branches with hanging votives and ornaments.

My sister did fresh wreaths with pinecones at each table with centerpiece torte cakes!  At the head table was a massive long garland with decorated vases for our bouquets.

I am having my wedding next January and am planning on using some sort of silvery/wintery branches in my centerpiece as well. I will put them in a vase with glass beads. I think branches make winter weddings look fabulous!

Are you planning on using a florist/floral designer? Usually, if you give them a theme they can come up with some great flower suggestions that you may not have thought of otherwise.
