NWR ticket saga continues

I'm not having luck with anything lately.
In Response to NWR Speeding ticket, ctd...:
[QUOTE]If any of you remember my previous 2 posts about this you're probably like, "This is STILL going??" Well the woman at the court FINALLY has some information on my ticket. I guess everyone's back from vacation and back in order after Irene... In Response to  NWR: speeding ticket : "Quick recap: Was going 50 in a 25 (I thought it was 45 but that was 1/4 miles ahead of me***) and got a ticket requiring court appearance." So she confirmed that my court date was supposed to be tomorrow, but she said it will be rescheduled for the 21st since they never confirmed it until today. I asked her to send me a letter... In Response to  I hate speeding tickets!! :("Has anyone had to go to court for a speeding violation before? It was double the limit... I know that's not good... Can they suspend my license??" She also said the judge pretty much always suspends your license if you go double the speed limit... but she recommended that I plead "Not Guilty," and then I would have another court date and I think she said a prosecutor would then help me negotiate? Anyone familiar with this? help... :( TIA

I didn't get a letter like I asked so I called today to see if I still have court next week and she says yes, but I can only talk to the judge for him to tell me my rights and then I have a second appearance when I can talk to the prosecutor.
I'm so confused! Why does this seem to keep changing? Is there any consistency? I just want to know how to prepare myself so I don't lose my license and have to pay as little as possible!
***ETA: I had to take a detour to work (road A) and I was just about to turn onto the road that I normally take (road B) and I was going 50. Road A and Road B for like 1/2 mile before Road A are 45mph (yes that's still speeding), but I was pulled over just before that point where I learned that it is apparently 25mph. NOT GOOD.

Ouch! You need some driving mojo cleansing.
It stunks that the people you speak with keep changing their stories. I would be angry too! Just go with all of the information you can and see what happens. Maybe you will get the judge, maybe you will get the prosecutor. Good luck either way!

Yeah :( well I'm going to assume that it'll just be the judge like she said, but I'm wondering if I'm supposed to do anything at that time, like pleading guilty or non-guilty (or other)? Or is it just the judge lecturing me saying what might happen at the trial and all I need to do is be there and shut up?

I can't imagine how you would have to go infront of the judge without being able to speak with someone first. Wish I could be more helpful but will be sending good vibes your way!

That sound different that you have to wait to speak to the prosecutor. The couple of times that I have had to go to court you usually speak to the prosecutor first and then if you plead guilty you go in front of the judge that day. I wouldn't worry too much I am sure that you will be able to pay and they won't suspend your license.

If you plead not guilty & get another court date, than it goes to trial.  Where is this court?

Usually you will speak to the cop first & just have to pay the court fees & they will knock it down.

South Bound Brook. My friend is a cop and he said to plead not guilty, so I'm going to  take his word for it!
