Hey New Mexico brides and grooms. Chat here about the best tips, Knottie GTGs, and wedding planning in your area.
My friend has her reception site booked, but they do not allow on-site ceremonies. Are there any sites that would allow a ceremony only? Her FI is not religious and would be much happier if it weren't

 My friend has her reception site booked, but they do not allow on-site ceremonies. Are there any sites that would allow a ceremony only? Her FI is not religious and would be much happier if it weren't a chapel.

Their wedding is next September, so outdoor sites are okay. The ABQ Bio Park ($1100) is a bit out of their budget range, but they will keep it in mind if nothing else will work.

Almost everything we've looked at is a ceremony/reception combo or a chapel. Innocent

 There's a variety of spaces at the National Hispanic Cultural center that are nice, and I think they're under $1000.

 You can look into the picnic grounds in the Sandias, depending on how many guests there are.  I'm having the opposite problem, I want to get married in a church and they won't do a wedding on a holiday weekend.  I'm pretty bummed because it is so important to me, I can at least have my ceremony at my reception site though.

 I'm a UNM student, so we're having our ceremony at the Alumni Chapel on campus. While it is a chapel in design, ceremonies there do not need to be religious. I believe they can also hang a backdrop over the retablos if you don't want the Catholic imagery present. The costs have gone up since I reserved our date, but I think it's something like $200 for current students and $250 for alumni or family of alumni.

 UNM Alumni chapel is.pretty and cheap... You can bring whom ever you would like to marry you there. The lld church in Corrales can also be rented too it is inexpensive and its simlplicity is beautiful.
