West Park Winery Review

Hi Kids,

I'm having trouble finding reviews of West Park Winery.   Have any of you held your wedding  or attended a wedding there?

Thanks!

This place used to get mentioned a lot more on here.

When I first got engaged there were girls who had there weddings here and were happy with it.

Just now searching google, came across these:

we went to go visit this weekend- it's really nice.  i didn't love that the tent is setup over regular old blacktop but other than that i really liked it and their packages were reasonable.  i'm seriously thinking about having my wedding there :)

I was married there last October and am posting my review today.  Please read it!  While it may be a beautiful setting and they may promise you a spectacular day and make you feel utterly special, the reality is terribly disappointing!

Hi! I got married there this past fall. If you have not yet booked - please consider somewhere else! I wish I did! The grounds are pretty, yes, but very unkept especially in fall. The staff turnover is unbelievable. Very disorganized, messy and unprofessional from start to finish.

We were truly impressed by the West Park Winery and we're so happy it was our venue. We chose the winery because of its DIY opportunities; we were able to put our signature all over our wedding and never had to pick and choose from a pre-selected package as couples do at many other locations. We got married at the top of the property overlooking the Hudson River on a beautiful hazy day.
Megan and Avanti, the head coordinating staff, were spectacular and maintained excellent communication throughout. Every single question was answered, every single concern addressed. On the day of our wedding they made sure every last thing went smoothly - seriously, if there were any glitches we didn't know about them, which is a true testament to their professionalism. Chef TJ truly wowed our guests and helped us plan a spectacular menu. The serving staff and bartenders were great and made sure everyone was happy all night.
If you are looking for a wedding venue that is truly memorable, personal, and unique, the West Park Winery should be at the top of your list!

I considered West Park winery for my wedding in spite of a negative experience of someone I knew who had her wedding there. To make it brief, the owner yelled at and hung up on me when I politely tried to make a request to alter his contract (to add some things his planner promised - a planner who left within a week of my meeting with her).  Turnover is a problem there, and that's because the owner is less than sane.  Do yourself a huge favor and don't even bother.  They don't do tastings either, so you have no idea what you're buying.  Any bride who had a decent experience there got lucky.  You don't want to depend on luck when it comes to your wedding.
