My fiance does not feel the need to spend a lot of money on flowers, at all. I really do not want to skimp, because I do feel they are somewhat important. November wedding, and I have no idea what flowers are "in" in the fall, and I have no idea of what I'm really looking for at this point, I just have my color scheme down. Are there any florists located on Long Island that do not want to rip you off? or that do a great job regardless of a low budget, without looking cheap? I booked an AWESOME photographer, and he has told me HORROR stories of some florists showing up late / not bringing correct flowers, etc etc, it's so never wracking this process, you never know what your gonna get, but any suggestions are helpful :)

If your willing to travel to Brooklyn, I'm using Marine Florist. Two of my friends who recently got married used them and they did an amazing job. They are also very reasonably priced and they travel to where ever your venue is.

check out Roots Florists in Port Jefferson, best florist I know. I have never seen them slip up once.

A friend of mine swears by Burton's - she said she got an awesome deal there, and her flowers were beautiful.

I am using Floral Park Florists, on Spruce Avenue. Its a family owned and operated and the owner will sit down with you and help you. Everyone in there is amazing and will definitely work with you and make sure your flowers are beautiful. I have seen many of his flowers and they always turn out gorgeous.
My fiancee always buys me roses from there, and it lasts so much longer too.
