Hey all!I stopped into wedding center (exit 52 i think off of LIE) on Sunday because I was in the area...I didn't get to try on dresses because I have to make an appt but I got to look through the dresses quickly and they seemed to have a lot of nice dresses that were very reasonably priced.Â Bob (I think the owner?) was talking quite a bit on how they have everything there from DJs to flowers to wedding bands all for the lowest price anywhere. ....does anybody have any experience with them?Â Ever used their services for your wedding or purchased your dress there?Thanks!!~Heather

They are the ones who do the discount with Douglaston Manor? I've heard pretty good things about them, but I have no personal experience. I know a bride on liweddings.com did the entire package from there!

Do not i REPEAT do not use them!!! look on here other brides have posted the same. Google them and you will come up with scathing reviews I have been talked out of them by many brides!!! PS their free honeymoon is anything but. Good Luck on your hunt hope this helps.

I am using the wedding center for everything. So far so good! It makes my planning easy!! I guess I will find out when everything comes together on Feb 20th (my wedding day) how good they really are. I already got my dress & invitations from them. Looks good to me! I'm pretty easy going though. We signed contracts for flowers, limos, DJ, Photographer, favors...anything & everything you can think of. Good Luck. I am having a good experience with them.

Just to clear up confusion:
The Wedding Center in Commack has gotten all of the bad reviews from brides on this and other sites.
The Wedding Plaza in Floral Park is the one that does a package with the Douglaston Manor. They are awesome.

The businesses are similar in that they are a one-stop-shop for brides and offer a variety of packages with tons of services. However, the Wedding Center in Commack sounds like it is terrible from what I've heard from tons of brides. The Wedding Plaza is awesome. I know tons of people who have used them and loved them, even one who did the whole packages using the Douglaston Manor. I have booked a package with them for my wedding next year (flowers, limos, photographer, videographer, tux) and they seem to be great so far.

Thank you cat! I was definitely thinking of the Wedding Plaza that does the deal with Douglaston Manor. I don't have any experience with the wedding center in Commack!

In the same area, I interviewed both Wedding Center and Wedding World. Both do the same type of all-in-one packages and have to tell you, I had a bad feeling meeting with Bob at the Wedding Center (too used car salesman for me and VERY pushy) I ended up booking with Wedding World and absolutely LOVE them!!! I did learn after booking that Wedding Center makes a lot of false claims and will tell a bride anything, true or not true.Â Good luck making your decision.

dont use them... my friend used them for her bridesmaid dresses and tuxes. one of the gowns' sash was not sown on, another had no sash at all... and the tuxes vests were off in shades of blue and one of them was ripped inside under the armpit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased the entire wedding parties attire including shoes from the wedding ctr in commack and was very pleased with the outcome and prices. I truly had no problems, but that was 5yrs. ago. I went elsewhere for videography, photography etc.

I am now in the process of helping my cousin plan her 2010 wedding and plan to revisit the weding ctr. I will give you an update in regards to the overall service. Hope all goes well in your planning.
