I live in Canton - one town over from Potsdam. How many people are you talking?? In canton, there's The Club which is a restaurant that closes sometimes to do wedding receptions. There's the Best Western in Canton, but I have heard that if the wedding is large, they have to use several rooms and it feels broken up. There are some VFW venues as well. There are some restaurants in Potsdam that might have private rooms if the group is smaller
