In Response to Re: Morning!!:
Afternoon! I haven't been on here in a while, hope everybody's doing well and that the spring brides are getting excited! Hard to believe that was me one short year ago... We're planning a trip to Charleston in early March because we've never been and I'm getting really excited! Does anybody have any recommendations? We're staying in a B&B off Market Street and will be walking since we won't have a car. Posted by careyblackmar
I looooove Charleston!
If you're seafood people, go eat at Hyman's... and prepared to be stuffed, I'd wear something loose :) If you're beer people, check out South End Brewery, the food is just OK, but they brew several beers in house and they're all pretty good!
The USS Yorktown is at Patriot's Point and is pretty cool, from Market you'd have to get a cab because it is across the harbor. I also enjoy the aquarium there, it only takes about 2 hours to get through.
If the weather is nice, the rooftop bar at the Vendue Inn is a great place to have a drink. In the warmer months, there's usually live music... not sure about March.
Also, since you're staying downtown, I'd get up and get out to the open air market one morning, it starts at the interesection of Market and Meeting.
