Hello everyone! My fiance and I are getting married at the Southport Community Building in April, and was wondering if anyone had any suggesstions for cakes, rentals, musicians, etc?

Also, does anyone know if there are any planners in the area? I'm stressing a little on the reception part :)

    I'm using L&L for my rentals, they are in WIlmington.

    We are using Debby Shaw cakes for our baker, she was reccommended by our caterer.

    Oh, and I'm not using them, but they do great work, Harborside Design (I think) is a really creative event planning business in WIlmington.

    Google cape fear wedding, you'll find them on that site.

    I am getting married at the southport community center as well :) YAY! I haven't started looking into rentals but I know there is a good rental company in southport called 3 cheers rental, I believe. If you call up betsy and ask her for her recommendations she can really help you with anything you need. Congrats!!

    I am gettting married at Surf City.  We are using L & L Rentals out of Wilmington.  They have been awesome!  For our cake, we are using kathy Canby out of Jacksonville.  She is amazing and very reasonably priced.  I think she comes out to Southport, but I'm not 100% sure.

    Caterer-Coastal Catering in Southport (He is SUPER reasonably priced)
    Forever Productions DJ-Wilmington (WONDERFUL!)
    Island Florals by Roxanne-Carolina Beach
    Island Cakery-Carolina Beach (Seriously the best cake for the best price)

    Not sure exactly what you are looking for, but I have been going to Southport since I was born, and these people are supposed to be some of the best around.  And coming right out of college with no money, I have to say I was blessed by God with some reasonable prices from them too! Good Luck!!!

    I'm also getting married at the Southport Community Building in August of next year, and would love to hear more recommendations for vendors and especially a coordinator.  I'm actually stressing more about the ceremony going smoothly since it will be out on the deck.
