I finally found the perfect venue, but now I am having a hard time picking out colors. We will be getting married in a large log cabin at a state park with the reception at their convention center in January. I woul like to do earthy centerpieces to play up how beautiful the park is, and I will most likely use white flowers since it is winter. But I cant figure out what color to have the bridesmaids wear. I had considered green, but my sister (the MOH) absolutely cannot wear green because it always makes her look like she is about to get sick. The reception site also has a lot of green on the walls and in the carpet, and I am worried that I wont be able to match it and 2 different shades of green would clash. Does anybody have any other suggestions? Thanks!

You could do a neutral color like champagne, brown or silver and then add a sach in the green you want. Does every shade make her look sick? Maybe a sage green?

when choosing your colors, make sure you choose FIVE colors otherwise it will look flat. And yes, choose your colors around the reception venue!

I wonder if it is really makeup (or lack of) that makes her look "sick" Green is actually a neutral

I agree with the "5 colors" suggestion.

At least pick 3: 60% the main color (BM dress), 30% the flowers and decor, 10% the accents. The other 2 you can choose to create more dimension if it's monochromatic (in the same color family) with the main color.

imo, if you go 2 or less, you risk it being too matchy matchy.
