We are looking to get married in Portland.  Was wondering if anyone has had any success with any venues/halls that will allow or provide an open bar.  Im having a lot of trouble finding info on the internet.  Being from the east coast it was never an issue and i hope that it isnt in oregon.  If anyone can point us in the right direction, I would appreciate it!!
Thanks :)

Oregon Golf Club in West Linn.  Open bar is the way to go!

My daughter was married at the Benson Hotel and they will provide an open bar.  We chose to supply just the beer, champagne toast and wine, any hard drinks were paid for by the guests.

Thanks for the replies guys.  We actually found a venue with an open bar however, to me, its quite pricy for portland.  $30 per person for 3 1/2 hours for the open bar.  Of course this is access to all liquor so, im hoping we can negotiate with a more limited selection.

Is that price shocking to anyone else out there or close ?

Thanks!

That sounds totally reasonable to me.  But then again, me drink for 3.5 hours would be like $15-20 including tip.  So I might not be the best judge.

Ask about doing a consumption vs. a per person count.  It could save you money, but it could end up costing more.  See what options the venue has.
