I need some opinions! My boyfriend & I have been discussing wedding plans. One thing we never seem to agree on is an open bar at the wedding reception. I come from a family of alcoholics (literally, I do not know a single member of my family 21+ who hasn't been in rehab) and I'm the only one to avoid that. I've never had a drop of alcohol in my life and never intend to after seeing what it's done to members of my family. I guess we just have that gene. Therefore, because the vast majority of my family either are recovering or still drinking, I'm very much AGAINST having unlimited, free alcohol at the reception. As a compromise, I suggested having a cash bar, as it's much less tempting. He, however, doesn't want his friends and family to have to pay for drinks at our wedding, which I understand. I can't think of any other compromise, though. Any ideas?
