We had our hearts set on the barn at overlook park but now we are not sure we want to spend that much. Are there any sugestions for a reception venue? We are looking at 50-60 guests and would like to keep it under $3000 or close to it for the food and the site. Thanks for any ideas
Off the top of my head:Pheasant Run Farm in Lancaster - nice barn look inside similar to Barn at Overlook. You can bring in your own caterer.Millersville University downtown building in downtown Lancaster- you can bring in your own caterer. Has a nice atrium room with a ceiling that is open to the sky. Kind of large for 50-60 people though.Lancaster Liederkranz German club - They have an outside area that looks like a park or they do have indoor reception options. Bring your own caterer. The Frank Wright Restaurant in Wrightsville - They were building a private room that could hold small receptions that looks out onto the Susquehanna River. Your party is probably small enough. They would use their catering but they are reasonable priced for dinner.Perfect Settings in Columbia- nice basic reception room for smaller parties. You can bring in your own caterer.I know these vendors to rent were under your budget but I was given pricing information over a year or two ago so they may have changed their pricing since then.
I'll get a plug in for my venue:Four Seasons GC in Landisville has the Windows Room (room with lots of windows) for $500 (perfect for your size group) and you can pick from 7 or 8 caterers (cheap to pricey). They just renovated, and the room is neutral so it will match any colors. They're very nice and easy to work with and very flexible on the deposit if money up front is a concern.
