Incase of crappy weather...

Hello RI Ladies,

Although I lurke on here a bit I have never posted before.  But I was hoping some of you brides to be or brides of the past might be able to help me.

My wedding is in 2 weeks, April 16th!  We are getting married at the Rhodes on the Pawtuxet.  We are planning on doing pictures before hand at Roger Williams Park.  My photographer and I have tons of great ideas for the pics there, we checked it out last year when doing our engagement photos!  My photographer is from Maine and is not familiar with places around here.

So my question is, do you have any suggestions for places that might be nice for indoor pics?  Given Mother Nature seems to be having fun with snow/rain this Spring I think it might be time for a backup plan, probably should have had one already, but I think I was in denial.

Thanks in advance for any help! Smile

You could look into the Botanical Center at RWP. Also the carousel is indoors, so maybe between the two of them ...

Otherwise there's always the State House and the Henry Lippitt house on the East Side of Providence. Also PPAC in Providence.

Outside of Providence but not too far from you there's Clouds Hill, a Victorian mansion in Warwick near the EG line: http://www.cloudshill.org/photography.html

Also, Atria Harborhill, an assisted living facility in EG will let you take pics indoors for a donation but, unlike other places like the State House, you only pay if you use it, not to reserve it. They have a grand staircase and some nice interior spaces: http://www.atriaseniorliving.com/community.aspx?id=1598

Providence Public Library, I think some of the nicer Providence Hotels rent out their staircases and such.  Below is a list I found (I don't know how to make it link).  My friend had told me to look into the Music Mansion as a reception venue b/c it was pretty.  Might be good.  Does Brown have any good buildings?  Also doing some Knot searches, someone said Greenwich Farms, Sprague Mansion.

I second the Botanical Center and Sprague Mansion!
Don't discount the Temple to Music.  If it's just spritzing you could get some really nice shots there.
