On my DO NOT (absolutely not! lol) play list are the Electric Slide and the chicken dance.  Or anything of that nature lolOn my must play - we have severalEtta James - Never my Love <--bridal party dance songAretha Franklin - I love you <--cake cutting songPeter Frampton - Baby I love your way <--1st dance!Loads of Diana Krall, Norah Jones, thrown in with some Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet tunes during dinner :)For fast dancing, I am leaving it up to the DJ to get everyone on the dance floor but the only one I really want him to play is 'American Boy' by Estelle (I'm British and hubby to be is my American boy haha - it's one of our songs :)

We didn't give a Must Play list, since we didn't know what people would dance to. Glad we left it up to our DJ, she did a great job! Here was our Do-Not-Play list: Group dance songs unless requested by a guest – Macarena, chicken dance, electric slide, the YMCA, conga lines, hokey pokey, shoutI will survive – Gloria Gaynor version. If someone requests it, play Cake version. Love ShackWe Are FamilyCelebrate

I find it so funny that everyone says "Do Not Play" those line dancing type songs.   I don't have an opinion either way but I wonder why.

I may end up with a couple of must-play songs, but I can't see making a huge do not play list. The way I see it, we're the ones doing the entertaining and if my guests want a line dance song or another annoying song, then they can have it. If I hate it, so what, it's only three minutes of my life. :)
