Wow! I would be so put off by that. I mean especially because its basically a stranger standing next to you as you as discussing duvets and your home. I know it took fiance and I two hours at Macys just to start a registry and it was REALLY overhwleming. I think having someone chime in about the towels we chose or a color scheme would be really annoying- especially if the consultant doesnt' have the same taste.
We registererd at Macys in North Attleboro. I don't know where you live, but it was really nice there because it si only a home store, so t here aren't 1987876 people all over the place and crying children etc. It's only one floor and the lady is pretty hands off (her name I think is Harina) but she is there to help you if you need it. We went right at noon on a Sunday (twice) so there was barely anyone in the store and we had it all to ourselves.
there was one woman there who was an employee who kept critiquing our choices and saying we should be getting non-stick cookware and registering for more glasses. She was just trying to help but even her being there for 5 minutes was annoying to me- so I can't imagine someone chirping about the entire time!
The only weird thing that happened to us when we were registering is that a weird man kept staring at my fiance and i in macys and finallyl after an hour he came up to us and asked what we were doing and if we were secret shoppers and why we were scanning items. He asked if corporate sent us.???? I think he just had no idea, it didnt looka s though he was married and he was working with a teenager who was looking at us also like we were doing something strange. He asked if we were allowed to be holding those scanners..... it was kinda of funny, one of the woman came over and kind of ushered him off.
