Twelve Acres

Has anyone gotten married at Twelve Acres in Smithfield, RI?  Any comments or suggestions?

    FI's sister got married there a few years ago. They had a few problems the day of the wedding but to a guest it ran smoothly. It was VERY casual and outside under the "tent". The kids ran around and played bocce and horseshoes. They served BBQ type food. It was a good time but an extremely casual location. I can't speak about anything inside.

    I have never been to a wedding there but when I looked at it for my wedding I thought it was cute, but not quite what I was looking for. The person in the PP is right though, it is pretty casual.

    One of my high school friends got married there--- said it was a great deal, but she went with it cause her parents were paying. Her biggest issue was with the owners. She said they were flaky and of no help once they got the deposit!

    Our friends got married there last september. Me and fiance were in the wedding. The introduction was all messed up. The coordinator at the reception did absolutely nothing. They didnt have anyone lined up and the little flower girls were outside when they were being introduced it was a mess. The food also was not very good. But i guess it depends on what you choice. we had ham, salad, and pasta stations. My finace went for another wedding there and they had chicken family style which he said wasnt bad. I personally thought the whole event was awful but that could have been the bride and grooms planning.
