Sorry, I live in the upstate (closer to the mountains) but congratulations. If you don't get any suggestions here, try the Charleston board too, since that's near the coast.

If I were you, I'd start by checking out state/national parks that might be on the water as parks are usually more affordable. I don't remember the name of it, but I know I looked into camping and there are some beach front parks.
