Hey Knottie girls!

Hope everyone has been enjoying wedding planning! You ladies have been great in giving advice and personal referrences. Thank you to everyone who helped me figure some fun ideas! I've decided on a theme that really fits us!

Right about now, I hit a wall and have no idea on where to shop locally ( I'm not looking to buy anything online as I hate shipping fees and especially hate buying items that appear to look one way online and turn out to be cheaper than how the images display! Sorry, I've just had bad experience purchasing cheap feeling fabrics before. I bought man made silks that easily snagged onto anything and everything). I'm also running out of time and really need to begin putting some ideas together for the engagement party on March 3rd!

My theme is eclectic- with spring time fun, with deep violets and shades of gray. I am currently using 6 different  very fun and girly patterns of a cotton fabric I got on sale at Fanny's Fabrics last week. These fabrics will all be used to make cut cloth napkins during dinner. Our tables will be dressed with ivory cloths, topped with milk glass antique vases holding wild flowers of purple, yellow and orange tones all bunched with soft and light pieces of baby's breath throw in.

I am currently on the hunt for a local stationary shop pretty central. I am not willing to drive all the way to Georgetown or San Marcos- sorry I don't like driving in this traffic for that long. I'm into pretty, fun, upbeat patterns that feel fresh and modern.

Anyone know of little hidden treasures I may not be aware of already?
Outside of the big stores like Hobby Lobby and Michaels?

Also, looking for cool solid color disposable straws? I am looking for either gray violet.

Any hints, leads or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks girlies!

Hi MissMixNMingle, your wedding sounds beautiful! Love that you're getting inspiration from fabrics. :)

I'm not sure if you're interested in commissioning a local stationer, but I'm using one I found on Etsy who just happens to live in Austin. Here's her Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/TwigLily

She's very reasonably priced (I'm def a budget bride) and has been so gracious in all the back and forths of designing the perfect wedding invites, as well as all the other paper products for our wedding.

HTH, and happy planning!

Thanks JenM!

What a great idea! I didn't even think to look onto Etsy and the fact that she is in town makes things a hell of a lot easier on me too! Plus I love supporting local, whether they are creative artists or the late night food truck down the road (that we ended booking for our wedding and every step of it has been amazing!!!). I am always happier to support my local community and keep this very city as weird as we can proudly be!

Thanks again...

What's HTH mean?? Sorry not familiar with the lingo here quite yet.
Here's to happiness? Undecided
