Hey Austin Brides,
I really need your help. I feel lost in my search for a photographer - I don't really know who to use or how to even decide! I think I am just feeling overwhelmed at the moment. So, any suggestions on photographers? Our budget is about $2,000 max for a photographer for our Sept. 2012 wedding. Any leads or ideas would be really appreciated.

We are using Life is Sweet Photography...they did our engagement photos and were amazing. I would recommend just calling them and talking with Will or Tara...they are easy to work with and know their stuff! HTH

We are using Ferrari Photography. Elisa has been awesome so far and we are paying $2100 for engagements, 8 hours of coverage, and $300 worth of print credits. She has smaller packages as well, like a 6 hour one for $1800 I think. She is transitioning into wedding photography from photojournalism and editorial type of work. She has clean crisp images with great use of lighting and that is what we really wanted. I highly recommend her.

A L Collective is amazingand they are right in your price range. Both of the photographers used to work at pretty high-profile studios before they branched out on their own and you can definitely tell in the quality of their photos - gorgeous! Not to mention, they are just a blast to work with and make you feel so comfortable. :)

There are a few other brides on here who have raved about them too!

Captive Art Photography! They are awesome! They are located out of Allen, but are willing to travel. I know the owner, and she is amazing! Her work is so awesome.

I am going with HighDotStudios (http://www.highdotstudios.com/) her most expensive package is 1,200 and that includes a second photographer.

We also looked at Steven Mackie (http://www.facebook.com/stevenmackiephotography) but he was booked.

I second HighDot Studios! Just took my engagement pictures with them and they are amazing! I love the way our photos turned out and I can't wait to see what our wedding pictures look like.

We are using Lahra Bryant Photography. For $2,100 you get two photographers, 8 hours of coverage, engagement sessions, and then i think around $150 credits towards prints or an album. Oh and you get all rights to all the pictures she takes! I've only talked to her through email and on the phone a couple of times and she seems very sweet. She also responds very quickly to all emails/calls.

Call me crazy but I looked at about 115 photographers before I choose her because I personally think your photographers is one of the most important things. And she was in my opinion the "best bang for your buck".

We used Sprague photography dot com. The pricing was good when we got married. I just checked their site and they still offer all packages under 1500! Good luck.
