Byob in Irving for 500 Guests?

I saw a few posts on here about outside catering and several Byob spots, but I couldn't find any venues around the irving area that would host about 400-500 guests.

Anyone have any ideas?

  • Hackberry Creek Country Club

There's this new place in Las Colinas but you'd have to rent the whole building.

Also I *think* the Omni Mandalay allows outside catering.

The Westin comes up on TK as allowing outside catering but I'm not so sure about that...

Texas Discovery Gardens if you can have an outside ceremony and are open to Fair Park.

Possibly the Colleyville Center if you are closer to 350.

If you could get the number closer to 350, you would have alot more options.

  • Thank you for the response.

If it were up to me, I would get the number to around 150 !! :)

Omni Mandalay does offer outside catering (charge a fee for this), but they do NOT allow byob. You have to get the alcohol through them. I believe the Westin would work the same way as well. Noah's would only fit about 350 with tables.

The others are further away. We're trying to stay close to Irving area.

Oh you're right--I had the wrong location checked on Noah's sorry. Well, that's all I got. With that guest size and location, you just don't have a ton of options that I know of at least. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
  • Possibly the Irving Arts Center if you mix your rooms/ cut down on the guest list.

The Grand Finale Ballroom in Irving might allow outside catering and byob- I couldn't tell though. http://www.thegrandfinalecenter.com/ballrooms.htm

The Sheraton DFW Airport offers an "Indian Wedding" package that allows outside food for a charge of 35$ per person- not sure on the alcohol (my guess is probably not.) http://www.sheratongranddfwairport.com/indian-weddings-in-dallas

Pioneer Event Center (straight down 161 in Grand Prairie) http://www.pioneereventcenterhall.com/default.html although you would need a lot of decorating to make it into a wedding venue...

In Dallas (but on the far west side, very close to Irving) is the Contemporary Museum. You may need to utilize all the different rooms though and understand that you may not be able to remove some of the contemporary art (think nude artwork) removed: http://www.dallascontemporary.org/yourparty.html

In "Arlington" but the C.R. Smith Museum (AA museum)  might work http://crsmithmuseum.org/FacilityRental.aspx#vendor-pricing

In Dallas, but not far from Irving, is the Frontiers of Flight Museum http://www.flightmuseum.com/rates-2/

It is in Grapevine, but the Grapevine Convention Center allows outside catering for a fee https://www.grapevinetexasusa.com/MeetingProfessionals/GrapevineConventionCenter/EventPlanning/Diagrams/tabid/451/Default.aspx
