Tux/Suit Rental (or to Buy) in DFW?

Hello Ladies-

We are in the process of trying to pick the tux/suit for the guys- groom, groomsmen, ushers and dads to wear. Does anyone know of good rental places? Or a warehouse or something that sells cheaper suits? I am really wanting them to wear a darker grey or charcoal grey colored suit. We looked at Mens Warehouse and it was like $220 for the Vera Wang grey suit that they had- which I loved, but I do not want to break the bank for our attendants! I thought about like Jcpenneys, but it seems like any suit I have seen online has a really small variety of sizes (we have 12 guys in total that will need to rent/purchase).
Thanks in advance!

  • We went with Al's Formal Wear because they have lots of locations and we had GM/dads coming in from across the country.

Tuxedo Junction is also pretty good.  I think they had better prices than Al's, but H didn't love their tuxes.

  • We went to Men's Wearhouse and explained what we wanted, and they ended up giving us a great deal on Calvin Klein slacks and shirts, I think we had 9 or 10 in total that we purchased.
Did you try to ask for a bulk discount?

Try Jims Formal Wear they have a Jean Yves Steel Grey Tuxedo that really nice. I did notice some places that use Jims as there tux vendor vary in prices. However, I found a place in Carrollton that was 154.00 including taxes and everything but a pocket square, Whereas Jos.A Bank was 189.00 before taxes.
  • We went to Al's, then to Men's Wearhouse. Al's was cheaper, and they lowered their prices for us to be more competitive with the deal we saw for MW, but the tuxes at Al's just didn't seem like as nice of quailty, so we went to MW & got them to beat the price we were quoted at Al's. Plus with how many ppl are getting tuxes, FI gets a free $500 suit to keep. Not bad.
