Hi ladies..i am having a food crisis...i have champagne taste on a tea budget...our entire food budget is $1800 for 150 guest ($12/per plate)...i want a meal although I dont expect filet minon..lol...

Hi ladies..i am having a food crisis...i have champagne taste on a tea budget...our entire food budget is $1800 for 150 guest ($12/per plate)...i want a meal although I dont expect filet minon..lol...maybe chicken with some type of glaze (to jazz it up) and maybe a beef....minimal sides...green beans/corn/california medley...rolls..tea..punch....if you ladies run across a caterer that might be right for me please let me know..i am in the galveston/league city area..

Oh, I dont want to go the smoke meat/bbq route unless last resort....

I can't remember their exact prices, but when I went to the Bridal Extravaganza I think Cafe Express had similiar pricing. But I can't remember exactly though.

Not sure if they can go that low, but I've heard Ral's Fine Catering is pretty cheap...

I saw a flyer in my bridal mag for Ral's....i am definitely interested, this was my #1 choice...but was worried about$$$..im going to check...all they can say is yes or no right?

So I made the mistake of telling fi that the bbq caterer wants $11/person @$1400...which is in our budget....well I made contact with ral's..which I love the menu he set up for us..BUT the total was @$2500(food only..not including alcohol)...wooo lawd....of course im stressin the menu more than my guest would...they just wanna eat&drink...but bbq was not the vibe I was goin for ##sigh## I want to be the easy goin person my fi is used to, but I just want to jump on the table and scream "i want ral's"...

We are doing Niko Niko's. Go to their wedsite and look at the catering menu. The chicken skewers and beef skewers aren't too expensive. You could get that, the oven roasted potatoes and salad for a reasonable amount.
