Does anyone have a suggestion for a unique wedding venue in Houston that is $$ and under? I've found a lot of hotels and over the top rental places, but we're looking for a laid back place where we can choose our own caterer, bar tender etc. My fiance and I are not from here and will have a lot of family/friends flying in, so I would prefer if it was inside the loop or close to it. We're planning on about 100-150 guests. I apreciate the help!

Not sure on the pricing but you should look at The Gallery. They are very hands on and let you bring in your own caterer etc.

just a reception venue or both? The Heights fire station is pretty cool or the petroleum club of houston

Take a look at Bayou Bend Gardens. The pictures look beautiful. Its a little pricey to rent, but you get to bring in your own caterer so you may be able to save money there. Its inside the loop (not far from Memorial Park).
