I'm getting married in June and the reception is at the southwest school of art....my fiancÃ© and I fell in love with the place the moment we walked in. They have an approved catering list and need some recommendations. Options are: Anne marie's...RK Group....an event to remember....spice of life....true flavors. Have you worked with any of these caterers. What was the food/experience like???

My best friend got married there and used True Flavors. I am going to be honest, I had researched many caterers for my own upcoming wedding and was a little taken aback by their prices. My best friend's food I remember was not that memorable at all unfortunately. I remember asking her later who she used and when she told me she used True Flavors - because they exceeded her expectations so much during the tasting, I guess they went above and beyond to show them a good experience - anyway, I was really schocked. I thought by their prices they would have amazing food and it was just, eh. She had a salad, some chicken, veggies and mashed potatoes.

With that said, I have been to a couple of events around town (non weddings or wedding shows) that were catered by Spice of Life and the food was really very good and service seemed to be good as well.

For my daughter's food tastings, An Event To Remember was one of them, and we were not overly impressed at the tasting. The tasting is the very first impression of the overall company and what you can expect at your reception. If you do not feel impressed at the tasting, most likely, that will stay the same. We used Absolutely Delicious Catering, but I don't know if they are on the list for SW School. Good luck!

I am getting married there in September and I have booked Anne Marie's catering. They had first impressed me with the food they had served at the Bridal Extravanganza last year. By far, the best food I had tasted at the show. I made an appointment with them soon after. I got a good vibe as soon as I walked in. Being as cautious as I am (I always ignore my gut feeling), I didn't want to book the first caterer I visited with, so I also made appointments and requested quotes from Absolutely Delicious Catering and Fresh Horizons.

Neither one stood out like Anne Marie's did. Anne Marie's happened to have the best prices and made me feel like I was a priority, not just another client. Hopefully the can follow through at the actual wedding!
