AW: Our house closed last week!

Forget it.

And, we live in a house with 1 bedroom right now. With 7 people. And a nanny. Might as well snark that while you're at it.

FYI, your new address can be obtained from the MLS listing.  Probably not a safe thing to post on a public board, especially since you have your kids.  I would suggest modifying.

Thanks for the congrats... oh, wait. I guess it's more fun to be snarky.

You can actually get our SSNs from the loan docs, too, which are also online. Knock yourselves out!

What in my post was snarky?  I posted a serious warning.

Seriously? Calm down. It's an MLS number. Who cares? I'm well aware of exactly how and where personal info can be found on the Internet and, gasp, posted a link anyway!

    Good lord.

You know what, if you're fine with your address being a click away, knock yourself out.  As for snarky, if you want that, you have NO idea.  Personally, though, if I was in Cancun, I would be sitting in the pool with a drink in hand staring at the stars right now.  But, that's just me.

Oh yeah, and EXCUSE ME for trying to be responsible and giving someone a heads up about something they may not have been aware of.

Plus, it may not matter to YOU, but I think Tygirl had your children in mind when she was giving you a heads up about safety.  It's one thing to not care for yourself, but you've got all those children you should be thinking about.  Sheesh.

I actually wasn't referring to your post as snarky, tygirl. Clearly, it was the one after yours that was snarky.

My fiance and I are both sick and it's nearing 10 pm here. If you'd like to also make fun of me for being sick, well... okay!

I'm going to take some cough meds and go to bed, so I'm afraid that any further snark will have to take place in my absence.

Jodi - congrats on the house! We're still hunting for ours.

Please though, take off the link. It does show a nice map and the full address. You have cute kids. It sucks, but in this day and age, we all have to be careful about how much personal info we have on the Internet easily accessible by anyone. I hate to have to think that way, but there could be some creepy person out there who thinks your kids are just a little tooo cute and having their address sure is niiice...

<div>Plus, you've got your kids names and ages on here, along with their address.  I'm sorry, but as a mother, how can that not be a hugely bad idea???  Like KST said, there are tons of creepy internet people.  It's your job as a parent to protect your children, and to quote CS "*facepalm*" you are not doing that to the best of your ability.  I'm totally facepalming, this seems like simple common sense...</div>

Seriously, this will seem snarky, but maybe you shouldn't be "gearing up for IVF #3" until we're taking care of the five you've already got.  Those poor kids.

I used to own a home with 3 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms, 3200 sq ft, and a mortgage that would make you weep. This time around, we've chosen to buy a home we can easily afford, add on to it (1 bathroom now, 1 bathroom within the next 1-2 years), and be able to afford the other things that matter to us... instead of living for a mortgage payment.

I am not sure why the idea of one bathroom is so insane, but it has worked fine for us. Sure, it's nice to have more, and that's why we're adding on. But, it's completely doable for us to share one bathroom and my kids and I, at least, have been doing so the entire time that we've lived in the house that we rent now. Most of the homes in the Mt. Baker area are older Craftsmans. It's not that rare to have 1 bathroom in them unless they have been pretty extensively remodeled, at which point they are above the price point that we wanted to buy in (or that I wanted to rent at).

And, yes, this is a real answer, not a snarky rebuttal. You probably just want a snarky rebuttal. Oh well.

Our nanny doesn't live with us. But, yes, when she is there, occasionally there are 8 people in the house at once and only one bathroom. And, yet, somehow, there is never an issue.

Of course, you could stop to think that three of the kids are schoolage and gone most of the day and the other two kids are toddlers who aren't potty trained and my FI works outside the home so, most of the time, it's just me and the nanny who need the bathroom... but, I guess shock and awe is more fun.

Wait...  how come you need the nanny for just the two kids when the other ones are at school...?
And you (new) OP says you live in a house with one BEDROOM.

Oops. Well, I meant bathroom.... not bedroom. I'm a big fan of lots of bedrooms. Hence why we're adding two more. Everyone needs their own space, I think, far more than their own bathroom or close to it.

And, nope, not an issue. I thought it would be weird not to have my own bathroom, but it's been fine. I suspect it would depend on the ages of the people living in the house. But, at my kids' ages, no one is spending much time in the bathroom. But, we're putting in bathrooms now to try to get ahead of the game for when they hit preteen/teen years.

Also, I WAH. The nanny is there during my work hours to help with my daughters so that I can get some work done. I'm not sure what that has to do with anything, though, unless at this point people are just trying to latch onto anything they can to be rude about.

Sorry, Koosh, but for me, she pissed me off.  I tried to be helpful by letting her know about something I thought she might not have been aware of and got accused of being snarky.  So, if that was being snarky, I figured I would actually let the snark out.  Although, I am trying to keep mine somewhat under control.
